What to Expect from The Bachelor Winter Games

Tonight, a new spinoff joins the Bachelor franchise.

The Bachelor Winter Games is like a ridiculous mix between Bachelor in Paradise and the Olympics, but with way more clothes and a whole new world of Bachelor stars, but you don’t have to listen to us describe it and how great it is. You can press play on the video above and hear its stars describe it.

Winter Games is like a good blend of like, American Ninja Warrior, Wipe Out…” Dean Unglert told us when he and a few other Winter Games cast members stopped by E! News. “It’s fun because none of us really knew what to expect going into it.”

The four-episode series brings contestants from international versions of the show together alongside a team of US stars to live in a house together, compete in ever-so-slightly less intense versions of Olympic winter sports, and quite often make out with each other. In fact, you may be surprised (or not) by just how many connections are made.

While all of the international additions are entertaining, there is one who will, no doubt, become an instant favorite. Her name is Yuki, she’s from Japan, and she speaks very little English.

“She is going to be a star,” Eric Bigger tells us, giving us a sampling of the few English words Yuki does know. “OK, thank you.”

“I think that unless we see someone come out of Arie’s season like really strongly, I think Yuki might be set up to be the next American Bachelorette,” Dean says, despite the language barrier. “She knows ‘Will you marry me?’ which is important.”

“Yuki could have her own reality show after this if she comes across as we know her in the house,” Ashley Iaconetti added.

While Canadian contestant Kevin Wendt was clearly there to win and represent his country in the only winter sports he’d ever qualify for, there’s also going to be plenty of exactly the kind of sports we’re all here for.

“There was a point where [Ashley I.] went down the entire mountain on her butt, and a producer turned to us and said, ‘When we thought of the Winter Games, this is what we thought of, and it was Ashley I. falling down the mountain on her butt.”

The Bachelor Winter Games premieres tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
